Climate & weather — Spain
Spain combines a Mediterranean climate along the east and south coasts (hot, dry summers, mild winters), a continental climate on the central Meseta (large swings, scorching Madrid summers) and a cooler, wetter oceanic climate in the north (Galicia, the Basque Country, Cantabria).
The Canary Islands enjoy a very mild subtropical climate year-round. SkiesAtlas covers summer heatwaves and the autumn 'gota fría' episodes with detailed forecasts and air quality.
